Sharp by Design, a mens fashion blog has published an article on Valentine’s Day gifts and had some interesting information to report:

“According to the National Retail Federation (NRF) American’s dished out a staggering $13.7 billion last year on Valentine’s Day, with the average lovebug shelling out $100.89 total last year.”

I spent under $100 this year, but times are tough and my gift went over pretty well even without spending the big bucks (which I have done in the past). I got my wife a massage and a nice flower/candy/card combo. The massage falls under the Rest & Relaxation recommendation in the article, which is actually a pretty good read for the gift noob.

I have not quite figured out what to get my loved one for this Valentine’s Day. I have been searching online and have seen many great gift ideas. In the past I have bought the usual chocolates and candy and massages. But this year I would like to do something a little different. Maybe a personalized loveopoly game sheet.

Each of these gifts sound pretty unique and fun. I am still not sure which I will do, but I had a fun time looking this year.
