Your Windows login password (assuming you have one) is probably very easily cracked, and now you can test it. Lifehacker has an article on Ophcrack Live CD which is software you burn to CD and can then use to crack a Windows XP login password.
Now assuming your password is less than 14 characters, your password is easy pickins’ for this useful utility. For those of you who cringe at the thought of remembering a 14 character password like J490fhwe#.45Er, how about your start with something with 7 and a few numbers and upper/lower cases (I’m sure it will be better than “password” or “fluffy”)

Yay for Police encounters!
Look I love the police and all, but sometimes you just gotta know your rights because let’s face it, everyone “bends” a law here and there. Whether it’s speeding 10 MPH above the speed limit in a school zone at 2:00, car jacking that new Porsche you were looking at or smoking a big fatty with some friends while ordering burger king, laws are created so there’s ALWAYS a reason to detain and question you. That’s why we have so many people in jail here in the United States, supporting a hugely profitable private network of state and federal prisons. Once a citizen is encountered or detained by the police most people don’t know what they CAN say or do, and sadly when they don’t have to say anything at all.
Along come our friends at the American Civil Liberties Union who have published an educational video on how to exercise your rights when encountering police officer(s). The video is 46 minutes long, which for you slackers should be an enormously long time to watch something without some junk food and herb so stock up, this is important.
