DId you know that every time your dog poops, they have anal glands on either side of their ans that let out some liquid. Well, if this liquid does not come out, than your dogs anal gland get large, and rupture, and this has happened o our poodle 4 times in the past 2 years. It is not fun, and our dog hates it.

In order to help this problem, which some dogs can have, you are supposed to massage your dogs anal glands once in a while and help release the liquid so they don’t rupture. It i not fun and not easy, and I have to say, does not seem to work for us. So, just look out and if your dog is rubbing its butt on the oa lot, they may have a problem.

Buy a training collar and leash, and make sure they are the right fit for your size dog. Depending on what issues you are having with your dog, there are many training tips to help. If you are having trouble with barking you can teach your dog to sit on command and stay. Once he is sitting, if he should bark, you pull up on the training collar with the leash and say “No”. Do this as many times as needed to get him to stop barking.

To get you dog to come when called, he will need to associate “come” as a good thing. Never ask your dog to “come” and then scold him, he will not want to ever come. Train him by walking with some food he likes and asking him to come, then sit, then give him a piece and say “good boy”. Do this over and over a few times a day to get your dog used to the word “come”.
