I’ve noticed lately that when I purchase and eat Oreo cookies they don’t “melt” in milk the way they used to. Some batches seem better than others, so I haven’t sworn off these new Oreos completely but it’s getting very frustrating as I rather enjoy softening my Oreos considerably with milk before eating them. I would imagine that things change at the Oreo factory and maybe this new formula saves them some money or something, but I don’t really care because all I want is my Oreos to melt in an appropriate amount of time so I don’t spend 5 minutes dipping my cookies.
The new recipe or manufacturing technique makes them very dense and less “crumbly” which means less areas where the cookie is exposed to milk which prevents the absorption of the milk at a rapid pace. The trade off is a more durable cookie, more able to withstand the twisting and separating some consumers prefer, but I don’t subscribe to that camp and would prefer a more crumbly Oreo experience.
Omg, so today I got a call from America’s Funniest Home Videos. I was so shocked. I had sent in a very funny video I had tape a couple summers ago. It was my wife her mom and her nephew and they fell off a hammock while I was taping them. It was totally unplanned, and very funny.
Here is a link to the video in Google Videos. Take a look and get ready to laugh your butt off. Needless to say AFV wants to air our video in their next episode. That is soo great.

I have been wearing contact lenses for the past 9 years and up until recently I had the monthly lenses that you wear for one month and throw away. You also had to remove them at bedtime and rest your eyes.
There are new ones out that are just fabulous. I have been wearing them for a year now they are called Night&Day. They are the best contacts I have ever used, and I would recommend them to anyone who has to wear contacts. They stay in for 1 whole month, you do not have to take them out at night and it is as if you are not wearing any at all. They breathe great and feel great. Best of all they do not ever dry out and you will stop using eye drops.
